Today, 13 April 2023 OPM visited the inmates at the Ikot-Ekpene correctional center in Akwa Ibom state.

The Welfare department of OPM ably represented the church as they went to this facility to certify those who participated in the free skill acquisition scheme established there by the church in that correctional center.
OPM partnered with the prison authorities to provide the inmates with various skills that can keep their minds busy within those walls and to equip them in a situation where they get out of prison so they can have something to fall back on rather than return to crime.
The assistant comptroller of the facility gave a speech appreciating the man of God and the church for practicing true Christianity and in his words, in over 30 years of his service he has never come across a ministry that has done what OPM has done in the lives of these inmates.

The graduands were grateful for this opportunity that has been given to them and they were able to describe the skills they have acquired free of charge and at the end of the certification ceremony, everyone of them were given their certificates of graduation.
Other free skill acquisition centres established by OPM for the people of Akwa Ibom state were all visited by the welfare team to assess their progress and amazingly, they are all doing wonderful.

The skills they are being trained on includes: catering, furniture making, hair styling, ICT, tailoring, etc.
All these and more are fully sponsored through the tithes and offerings in OPM church .
