In an effort to help reduce the high rate of MATERNAL MORTALITY in Nigeria, OPM free specialist hospital have successfully recorded the following deliveries.

1. Deliveries with complications through cesarian session (CS).

As at today the 19th April 2023, OPM Free hospital have recorded the total of 531 deliveries in Port Harcourt and Abia State through CS free of Charge.

In other hospitals cesarian session cost 350,000 * 351 = 185,850,000

2. Normal deliveries in OPM free hospital in Port Harcourt and Abia State as at today 19th April 2023 is 4,361. Remember all deliveries are free of charge.

Normal deliveries in hospitals cost from 80,000.

Now 4361 * 80,000= 348,880,000

– There are complicated deliveries which at times leads to premature delivery which cost OPM free hospital so much by putting the child on incubator.

– Every pregnant mothers are giving delivery packs free of Charge

-The cost implication of Purchase of Drugs and injections is outrageous.

– The free hospital pay Consultants

– Payment of workers salaries

– Feeding of those that delivered before they go.

– After all these expenses, the hospital also give them transport to go home.

These are additional expenses incurred by OPM FREE SPECIALIST HOSPITAL.

In a nutshell, OPM FREE SPECIALIST HOSPITAL as at today 19th April 2023 have saved government and individuals the whopping sum of

FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FOUR MILLION, SEVEN HUNDRED AND THIRTY THOUSAND NAIRA (534,730,000 ) on Cesarian session (CS) and normal deliveries alone.
